Ask Mike #8 - 'What's on the end of my guitar?'
exactly what I wanted to know - thank you!
My dad played one…I gave it to my nephew when my dad passed bc he was the only person in the family that played at that time… he still has it and loves the fact that it belonged to the man that he always admired in life more than any other man…my grandfather placed one as well ..and he played the banjo as well.. my grand dad accidentally in a work accident cut the tip of one of his fingers on his left hand so he restrung his guitar and banjo and taught himself to use the other hand.. 💕
What tuning is this in?
I have been playing RS2014 for 7 years off and on. Problem with Rocksmith is that you learn chords pretty well on Rhythm mode, but you don't actually have to memorize anything about a song. If you just play this like the "real guitar, guitar hero" game it is, you won't know how to "play" any songs. I find myself in that predicament. It isn't like you can't slow it down, jack up the percentage skill, but lots of songs are too complex for that guitar hero interface. Something that becomes self evident in tablature, like an arpeggio, is really complex on that flying note display. You don't see what the chord is until it is too late, if you even have time to recognize it at all. If you want to get practice on strumming and playing chords, this product is good. If you want to learn how to shred or play more complex arrangements, I would say find a guitar teacher.
It’s for noobs. You have to pay for literally anything on there and I realized it’s just trying to teach super below basic stuff. If you know nothing about music it’s fantastic. I can play anything I want without a robot trying to recommend notes when their notes end up being so basic.
Usually you're some good advice but this one has so much text you can't see what is going on in this short.
Im bouta pack it up man wanna rip off my damn fingers
Bloody hell my fingers hurt..😅 its very difficult because the other strings are muted it sometims sounds right, it looks easy but it's not. Im going to keep practicing. It's what I've been doing,im practicing a chord like ill practice this for literally a week...im dead serious. it works for me to practice each chord for 5-6 days. Its fun it is, cheers mate.. nice one 👍🏻💯🙏🏻
Yeah but what do you do if your fingers can’t do that .
That’s my nga
Gosh. Did you ever think about playing it so we could hear how it sounds?
Awesome Mike, beautiful journey
great musician!!!!! Love it
And i thought my guitar is tiny
Uh it's not like beginners want to pause for effect lol Beginners are still getting used to transitioning from chord to chord and since left and right hands are so used to moving in sync it makes sense that the right hand would pause as the other scrambles to find a chord. It just means the player is still in need of lots of practice and familiarity and getting used to the guitar. You didn't even drop atleast a helpful hint. Everyone knows one isn't supposed to stop atevery chord lol
Finding the chord that has a strong pull back to the beginning chord, to start it over is the hardest part for me. So the song doesn’t just meander along.
Thank you so much!
Thank you so much
Thank you so much. Really needed this. ❤
Thank you so much <3 I almost thought the problem is my tiny little fingers !
e chord is not minor
i thought it was made in mexico. not that i think it matters one iota.
i've been debating this vs the ultra tuxedo model on the right, and this finally sold me. it's almost as good at half the price, and you get the 3rd pickup. thanks.
In the middle of teaching myself to play the patriotic song, YOU'RE A GRAND OLE FLAG, in the key of C, the horrible specter of b flat came in to the score. If it hadn't been for your lesson I would not be able to play this song of the 4th of July. Mochas Gracias
Why’s there no A minor😭
Do you have lessons for acoustic guitarists? I just wanna be the R and B guy, not Rock😭
Thank you very much my friend. Well done. Very useful. Best regard from Peru.
so how does this pick up your acoustic guitar? is it just through the mic you have? i dont have an electric acoustic, if thats what they are called. i also have an electric guitar but what would i plug it into?
thank you , beginner here, i found a play along to sundown by gordon lightfoot and your alternative B chords are letting me have a go at it
Could you recommend a book that kind of functions like an alternate to a full blown guitar course… shorter version of course? It would be great if it had lots of song notations, preferably rock or at least mixed. Thanks!
thank you so muchhhhhhhhhhhhh❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Thank you 🙏
John Jay in Milwaukee gave me guitar lessons in 1973 was in the key of sea C which included the key the sea chord the G7 chord and the f chord challenging me that if you can play the f chord you can play any chord on the guitar add lesson number two and I nailed the f chord so 51 years later I teach guitar and I have a trick for teaching the f chord
Nice one, keep it up!
I have problems with the fourth string not ringing out when im doing a g chord because my finger on the fifth string kind of lightly touches the string but ive only been practicing for a week so im hoping i get better
I always mute without even trying 😂
ubisoft killed it
Can you do a full video on forbidden chords With a basic rift
Humiliating indeed. I have for PS3 and XBox One. Now that pS3 is retired and just got a PS5 . I will try getting into the groove again
Did you do it? I have a Ps5 and I want to try it. I play basic stuff (some AC/DC, still working on the solos), but I want to REALLY learn
You talk talk to much I saw Lot then the others I saw to much talking
AWESOME!
Question. Does the guitar neck size also matter? Like instead of playing a narrow neck, should I play a fatter neck since I have bigger fingers? Or can I make it work with a more slightly narrower neck? I see a lot of guitarists being able to do both it seems, so it doesn’t seem too worrying for me to have to change the neck.
How about a beginners list of ‘must have peddles’. Say a list of your Top 5 suggestions.
